JONESVILLE, GA – Authorities believe a crash that killed a 36-year-old woman in West Georgia was caused by a distracted driver.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Brittany Keeton, 32, hit a stopped motorcycle that was waiting to turn on Ga. 166 at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday night. The force of the collision caused Heather Turner and Bobby Thomas to be thrown from the motorcycle.

Turner died from her injuries.

Keeton told police she was looking at her daughter in her backseat and didn’t see the motorcycle in front of her. Charges are currently pending.
