Woman facing charges over deadly collision in Flowery Branch

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA – A woman is facing charges in connection with a deadly accident earlier this month in Flowery Branch, the Gainesville Times reported.

Warrants have been obtained for the arrest of 81-year-old Caroline Anna Debs, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The crash occurred at about 2 p.m. Sept. 4 on McEver Road near Lake Run Drive.

Investigators said Debs was driving a Mazda MPV when she crossed over a center line and crashed into a Toyota Camry driven by 75-year-old Thurston Allyn Prince of Flowery Branch. Prince died of his injuries.

The arrest warrant specifies several charges against Debs, including second-degree vehicular homicide and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
