DEKALB COUNTY, GA – A man has been released from the hospital after being seriously injured last month in a hit-and-run in DeKalb County, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
The incident happened Aug. 14, after Bruce Wood had a minor accident on Interstate 85 and pulled over to exchange information with the other driver.
Wood was then struck by another vehicle along the highway. A witness told police the car was driving erratically before it hit Wood. The witness said the driver of the vehicle got into a different car, a black SUV, and then left the scene.
Wood spent three weeks in the hospital as he recovered from the accident. His doctors are optimistic that he will be able to walk again.
