Driver killed after tree crushes vehicle during severe storms

DOUGLASVILLE, GA – A man was killed after a tree came down on his vehicle during a major storm in Douglasville Monday morning.

According to CBS 46, the incident was reported at about 10:36 along Campbellton Street between the intersections with Woodrow Avenue and Spring Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters noticed a single-vehicle crushed under power lines and a large tree with one man pinned inside. The driver, 60-year-old Scot Hudson, a local restaurant owner, was pronounced dead after he was extricated from the vehicle.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
