ATLANTA, GA – A man working with a cement truck died following an accident while on the job in Atlanta Friday afternoon, authorities said. 11 Alive reports the incident happened at about 4 p.m. at Bolton Drive and Holtz Lane off Marietta Boulevard.
An investigation determined that the victim was operating a concrete mixer when part of the truck’s equipment came into contact with electrical wires. Police say the worker was found dead under the truck, which caught fire as a result of the accident. The man’s identity has not yet been released.
Electrical crews arrived on the scene to remove the live wires from the roadway. An investigation by police and Georgia Power is ongoing.
