CANTON, GA – A box truck crashed into a detached garage on private property off of Avery Road on Tuesday afternoon.
One lane of Avery Rd. near Hwy 140 is currently shut down due to an accident involving a box truck that ran off the road and struck a detached garage (no injuries).

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office tweeted the crash occurred on Avery Road near Highway 140 around 1:23 p.m. They reported the box truck traveled off Avery Road and hit the detached garage.
Both lanes of Avery Road were closed while local authroties removed the box truck from the property.
No injuries were reported.
It is unknown why the box truck driver drove off the road.
