MOUNTAIN CITY, GA – According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, state troopers investigated a five-vehicle accident that killed a North Carolina couple in northeast Georgia over Memorial Day weekend.

Officers believe that 22-year-old Tristan Bartlett struck a motorcycle driven by Doug and Dawn Head when he crossed over into their lane. Bartlett also struck a Chevrolet Silverado, a Kia Sorento and a Chevrolet truck.

The Heads were both killed in the accident. Bartlett received only minor injuries but was charged with two counts of second-degree vehicular homicide.
