ATLANTA, GA. –  A construction worker was killed on Thursday afternoon when a boom lift that he was operating fell on him, crushing him beneath one of its wheels.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the accident occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. on the 1300 block of Gun Club Road. The victim, 55-year-old Dexter Walters, was operating an Xfinity company vehicle at the time of the incident. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other information on the accident has been provided, and authorities are still investigating.
